Our preschool classes prepare children from Spanish-speaking homes to perform well in kindergarten. Children  learn, in Spanish, the basic pre-academic material needed to succeed in kindergarten, so that when the basic concepts are presented in English in their kindergarten classes, students will learn new vocabulary for concepts they have mastered.  Participants are three- and four-year-olds from Spanish-speaking homes.  Parents of participants take turns serving as classroom volunteers.

 

Classes meet for one hour of instruction 4 days a week, followed by free play. The program follows the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County public school inclement weather policy.
