How You Can Help

Get Involved – Volunteer!
Here are some of the many ways you can get involved at El Buen Pastor:Paola and some of her friends.
  • Tutor elementary students
  • Tutor 6th - 12th graders
  • Provide support staff help: 
    office work, creating bulletin boards, preparing classroom materials, creating holiday favors/crafts/gifts
  • Serve as a photographer for special events
  • Lead short-term enrichment classes for children or adults – dance, art, music, crafts
  • Serve as a cultural broker to help a family or individual through a particular situation, i.e. higher education admission, filing an insurance claim, accompany to doctor visit (Spanish/English fluency required)
  • Spanish/English translator
  • Speaker’s bureau
  • Help with toy-making crafts for the parenting class
 
Wish List
We can always use office supplies, such as:
  • General use copier/printer paper
  • All kinds of tape (scotch, masking, duct)
  • Staplers/staples
  • Sharpie markers/dry erase markers
  • Post-it notes
  • Scientific calculators for middle schoolers
  • Any and all kinds of art supplies
